Christian Bible Based Story Book Review: Redeeming Love By: Francine Rivers
Francine Rivers paints a beautiful and lyrical picture and brings the Bible to life as she comes up with her own creative interpretation of the story of Homer and his wife, Gomez.
This book is loosely based on the redemption story of forgiveness after betrayal. She artfully displays the depths of the love that God has for all of His children. Francine Rivers bases all of her books on Bible stories, bringing them to life in a way we today can identify with.
Francine has set this story of true love in the 1800’s and quickly captures your interest with drama right from the very beginning.
This story is a painful one. The parallels of God and His love for us; and the character of Michael Hosea and his passionate pursuit of Angel is seamlessly weaved into the salvation message.
This love story is not the superficial kind that one would expect from a typical paperback romance. This story has the depths to take your personal relationship with God into deeper waters.
After reading this book, I can honestly say that I have never looked at my relationship with God quite the same. I see God as a risk taker and a relentless lover of my soul. He wants all of me, not just the outward superficial niceties that religion offers.
He wants the good, the bad and the ugly.
This is a wonderful book for anyone who loves reading fiction based on the stories of the Bible. I also recommend this book for people who normally would not read the Bible. This is a great way of telling the story and making them thirsty for more stories from the Bible.
