After completing my Masters in Commerce in 2010 I came home. My parents wanted me to work in my home state. I found a job in one of the schools nearby. It was a non-Christian School. I have achieved my education at college in an Adventist (Christian) environment.
I was very unhappy in the job I took. It especially disturbed me to bow my head and fold my hands in reverence to a religion that went against my belief. In my dissatisfaction, I quit my job and came home.
My parents were very angry and disappointed in me because I had left a good job. This was one of the hardest periods of my life. I prayed to God to help me find a good Christian job.
Finally, help came! One day my brother spoke to the HR of ADRA India, and by God’s grace I got a job as an Administrative Assistant in Stop Human Trafficking Project on India-Nepal border. I met the most loving and caring people there.
After five months of working in that department, I was quickly promoted to another project. And after only three and a half months, I received my second promotion. I am now an accounts officer in the country office.
In the Bible God promised, “I have plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.”
I waited on God, trusted in Him, and He has given me job satisfaction and promoted me far beyond what I could have done on my own. I am living proof that God takes care of the ones who trust in Him.
