“In all they ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.” Prov. 3:6
Today’s Christian daily devotional:
“Which way should we go?” We were at a crossroads in a section of town that neither one of us was familiar with.
“Go left…” my voice wavered as my lack of confidence gave way to the expression on my face. I was clueless and I knew it.
John laughed as he took a confident swing and made a quick right. Not too far down the road we discovered his instincts were on target. We reached our destination and we actually got there earlier than expected.
Before I found my husband, when there was no such thing as GPS, every trip into the big city was another opportunity for white knuckles and tears. Having dyslexia never made my situation easier, either!
Sometimes we struggle with what path we need to take in life. This can be in major decisions, or minor every day choices that add up to be important foundations in our life.
At any rate, the wise person will keep their eye on the destination and drop his/her personal pride to get the wisdom and direction they need.
We have a wonderful guide to a healthier and stress-free life. It is called the Bible. God promises in Prov. 3:6, if we take the time to stop and ask Him to lead our paths, He will.
You can be sure that if God is leading, your final destination will always be a better place than were you are coming from.
“Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being available to me. I realize I have overlooked the obvious, and sometimes I do this because I feel not worthy to “bother” you with the little things in my life.
But, my life was created for a reason, and I am starting to understand that things that are a big deal to me are a big deal to you as well. You are my heavenly Father.
Lord, please guide me. I have taken so many detours that I am unsure of what my actual destination should be.
Give me clarity and direction in my life. Give me a passion for what I should be doing with it. Open up the roads I need to hop on to be on the path to success and I ask that you block the roads that will waste my time.
Time is a precious gift and I want to get to where you want to take me with the least amount of tears and stress as possible. I trust your guidance. In Jesus’ precious name, lead me Lord and I will follow. Amen.”
