“Dear Heavenly Father I come to you with a grieving heart.
I have tried to solve my problems on my own. In your Word, you said that I should cast all my cares upon him, for he careth for you. I am ready now. I am humbled and I realize this burden was not for me to carry alone.
I come to you on behalf of our broken family. I ask with the power and authority you have invested in me through the life-giving blood of Jesus Christ to bind the spirit of anger, bitterness, resentment and pride. Rip the roots of these sins out as many generations as you see necessary for the complete healing of our family.
I ask that the ones of us who are saved listen to the whisper of the Holy Spirit that lives within, and we humble ourselves and confess our sins before you. Let no sin stand in the way our communication with you. To fight the good fight, we must all be in good standing, and to follow your orders we must all be on the same page. So, I submit myself under the power and authority of the Almighty Father; and I take responsibility for my part of this calamity.
Jehovah-rapha, you are the Lord that Heals. “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds says the Lord.”( Jer 30:17.) I know through the sin of rebellion we have brought these wounds upon ourselves; but I have complete faith that you can work miracles. By the power of your blood, you raised the dead. I ask for your mercy to heal what I have broken. I pray that you cover the whole family with the healing power of your blood.
Words have been exchanged, and they are sharper than knives. But, the Power of your word is SHARPER than any two-edged sword. “But if I do not forgive, neither will my Father in heaven forgive my failings and shortcomings.” (Mark 11:25-26.) So with that in mind; whenever I feel the roots of bitterness, resentment and un-forgiveness start to creep in and strangle my heart’s intent to follow your will; I will stop and remember your Son’s suffering on the cross by his own people. You bared your cross, and now I must bare mine. “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Rom 8:18.)
In Mark 11:24 you said: “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you will have them.” Lord, you gave me this imperfect family. They are a special gift ordained by you. They were brought to me to teach me lessons about myself, and to show me how to be a support system to others. Fill me with the wisdom of your Holy Spirit.
Jehovah-shalom, you are the God of Peace. Fill me up with your peace so I can handle life’s situations YOUR way. Help me to take a moment, and ask you first what I should do. You have said in Isaiah 41:10, “I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” I am reaching out and taking the hand that you have offered me. I pray that I will not loose my grip, and if I do, I will grab on again quickly.
Thank you, Lord for being the kind of God that cares about me so personally. I know you love me and have a special plan for our family. Help our family reach our godly potential. From this day forward, I have the power and the authority to pray the Blood of protection upon my family. If there is strife, you will provide a way out, and a lesson through it. I will open my spiritual eyes and look for what you are showing me, Lord. In the name of the Victorious Jesus Christ, Amen.”
