“Dear Heavenly Father,
I am going through the change of life and it has been harder than I ever expected.
It brings me face to face with the fact that I will not live forever. Lord, I know you are my God and that I will spend eternity with you. Comfort me with this thought whenever I am sad.
There are so many things I am grieving. Help me to see this change in a positive light. Help me to embrace the good.
In the meantime, please take care of my physical aliments so I can have a clear head and praise you from a place of true happiness.
In the name of Jesus, cast out the hot flashes that keep me up at night. Regulate my body temperature to remain consistent. Not everybody experiences hot flashes during menopause. Let me be one of those women, Lord.
When my moods start shifting and going to dark places, pull me up. Quicken my mind to remember an encouraging passage from your Word. I promise to meditate on this and let the mood pass. I know it will, because your word is stronger than any mood. I will not allow my emotions to control me, but I will allow you to, Lord.
As my body is moving towards this new phase in my life, help me to keep my crowning glory. Allow me the joy of having a full head of shiny hair that is vibrant until the day you take me home.
As I lay my head down at night, give me peace that I will wake up everyday feeling better than the day before. You are the God that raised the dead. Give me new life and raise the cells in my body to be healthy and vibrant until my last breath.
In Jesus’ name I claim the promises that you promised your children. I will agree to live in obedience with your Word. I know you will keep your end of this covenant, help me Lord to keep up my end. Amen.”
