“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
Love is patient,
Love is kind,
It does not envy,
It does not boast,
It is not proud,
It is not rude,
It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil.
But rejoices with truth.
It always protects,
Always trusts,
Always hopes,
Always perseveres.
Love never fails.
But where there are prophecies,
They will cease;
Where there are tongues,
They will be stilled; Where there is knowledge,
It will pass away.
For we know in part and we prophecy in part,
But when perfection comes,
The imperfect disappears.
When I was a child,
I talked like a child.
When I became a man,
I put childish ways behind me.
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror;
Then we shall see face to face.
Now I know in part;
Then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain;
Faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is LOVE.”
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16
“And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. And Though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and thou I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinkieth no evil; Regjoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Love never faileth; but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be knowledge, it shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophecy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then what which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face-to-face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor. 13:2-13

“And above all things have fervent love among yourselves; for love shall cover the multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8
“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all they heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matt. 22:37-40
“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.” 1 John 3:1
“How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.” Ps. 36:7
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.” Jer. 31:3
“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” Ze 3:17
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” John 15:9
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth all knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh on us; unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, both now and forever. Amen.” Eph. 3:17-21
